To keep PR.co fast and reliable, there are file size limits for different types of images, documents, videos and imports.
If you're uploading a file and it exceeds the relevant limit, you'll need to reduce the file size before uploading it.
File size limits
Content or upload | Maximum file size |
Tag images and hero images | 64 MB |
Event images | 64 MB |
Featured images | 64 MB |
Newsroom background images | 64 MB |
Clipping uploads | 64 MB |
Newsroom logo, SVG logo and icon | 16 MB |
Media library images, documents and audio | 256 MB |
Media library videos | 512 MB |
Campaign imports — JSON, HTML, Word, PDF and Excel | 32 MB |
Campaign import ZIP files | 512 MB |
Contact import files | 32 MB |
What if my file is too large?
If a file exceeds the limit, compress or resize it before uploading. For large contact or campaign imports, you can also split the file into smaller files.
Compressing videos
For video files, we recommend HandBrake, a free video compression tool.
For a good balance between quality and file size, try:
Format: MP4
Video codec: H.264 (x264)
Resolution: 1080p or lower
Frame rate: Same as source
Quality: RF 22–24
These settings should significantly reduce the file size while keeping good video quality.
