A powerful image can be a great asset to your latest news. This is why our newsrooms contain a media library, allow you to add a media kit, and illustrate your releases with media files such as photos and videos.

To make sure you get the best out of these features, having the right images with the right proportions is key. Whether you'd like to share images on your release or feature them with a social media post linked to your latest campaign, follow these simple size guidelines to make sure they are sized and cropped properly. Another tip is to always use high-resolution JPG or PNG images.

Images in a release

Our campaign editor gives you three sizing options for your images. This works for single images and for gallery images as shown in the example. These sizes can vary depending on the original size of your image.

To select a size, click on the image once you've uploaded it to your release editor and choose from the options in the menu at the top.

If you've any cropping or editing to do, make sure you've finished before uploading to pr.co as our editor doesn't have this function. If you're looking for an editing tool, we like Canva: set up a free account now.

Featured/cover image

This image will serve as the cover photo for your news release when shared on your newsroom and social media. Ensure it's high resolution and sized at 1200x630 pixels, a common size for social media.

⚠️ When you hover over the image in the newsroom, it will be cropped by 5%, so ensure to include all the main elements within the grey area, as shown below.

Hero headers in the newsroom

These are the images showcased in the hero section, such as on the About and Contact page. The required dimensions for these images are 2400x600 pixels.

Logo and favicon

  • Transparent background if possible

Favicon:
