The media kit is the place where you show rich media related to your brand. Think of logos, product videos, promotional material, pictures of the team. Whatever makes it easy for a journalist to enrich a story.

You can sort your media assets into different media kits, and each media kit you can add to a folder.

6. To add media, click the images/files in the order that you want them to appear.

7. When you're ready, you can now publish using the blue button Publish media kit.

Password protect your media kits

Sometimes you want a media kit only to be available to a select group of people and keep its content inaccessible to others. You might have exclusive promotional files for a new product launch, or you simply want to prevent your competitors from accessing media files. Whatever your reason may be, you can password protect your media kits so only the people with the password can view and download its files.

  1. In the app, click the Media kits link in the sidebar.

  2. Click the ⚙️ for the media kit you want to password protect, then click Settings.

  3. In the modal that opens, tick the checkbox Require password to view and download media files.

  4. Set your own password by typing it into the Password input field, or generate a safe and secure password.

  5. Click Save.

Your media kit is now password protected. Only people with the password can view and download these media files.

💡 Want journalists to request access to your media kit? Enter a Contact email address in your newsroom's Settings page and we'll make sure the requests end up in that email inbox.

Creating folders for media kits

If you've a lot of media kits, having them all listed in one page doesn't make for a great user experience. Use the media kit folders to group related kits together.

  2. Click the green button Add Category.

  3. Add a title, cover image and optional description. Click Add category.

4. After filling in your new category's details, you can add or move media kits to that folder, using the ⚙️ icon next to each media kit. Once live in your newsroom, categories or folders display like this.

Example: ByBorre

Tagging a media kit

In the newsroom, you have the option to tag press releases, media kits and clippings so any items in the same category will show together on a single page (as well as in their respective pages).

Example: Fever

To tag a media kit;

  1. Head to the Media Kits section in the dashboard.

  2. Create a new media kit or locate an existing one.

  3. Go to the ⚙️icon at the top right of your media kit.

  4. Choose Manage tags.

  5. Select the tag(s) relevant to your media kit.

  6. Save!

  2. Create a new media kit and add your images and files.

  3. Publish your media kit!

  4. Navigate to the live newsroom, and locate the media kit page.

  5. Copy the URL.

6. Back in the dashboard, start writing a new campaign or edit an existing one.

7. From the menu in the editor, choose either option for the link.

8. Paste the URL of your media kit and save!
