Zapier is a tool that helps you automate repetitive tasks between two or more apps, without having to write code. When an event happens in one app, Zapier can tell another app to do a particular action (Zap). In this case, every time you publish a news article in the newsroom, we'll be posting to Twitter.
The setup is twofold: Make sure you've completed part 1, on our Zapier Integrations page and then you can complete the process with the instructions below. At this point you should be in the Set up Action section.
The setup:
1. From the list of apps, choose or search for the social channel of your choice. In this example, we're using Twitter.
β
2. For this example, we've chosen Create Tweet, but here you could choose whichever action you prefer. Click Continue.
3. Next, you'll be asked to sign into the appropriate Twitter account. Click Continue.
4. Write the message you'd like to appear in the Tweet, using the variables in the dropdown.
5. Add an optional image. For the Should Shorten URLs? field, choose yes so that your message isn't truncated by Twitter.
6. Click Continue and then Test Action.
7. Check your Twitter account, your post should now be live. This is our example:
8. Make any adjustments you need to in the previous step, and then publish your Zap!
And that's it!
