This is a practical step by step guide to setting up Single sign-on for access to the pr.co newsroom and will most likely be implemented by your IT team. To do this, you should have the SSO option in your subscription already (if not, email us for more information).

We currently provide SSO with Microsoft Entra ID, Okta or Google. Read on for how to set up with Microsoft Entra ID, or read our instructions for an SSO setup with Google or with Okta.

Setting up SSO with Entra ID

With this option we are assuming that you already have a Microsoft Entra ID account. If not, please do get in touch and we will help you in whatever way we can to do that.

1. Create an enterprise application in your Entra ID platform.

a. Go to https://portal.azure.com and log in.

b. Click the Azure Active Directory:

c. From the left hand menu, choose Enterprise applications.

d. Click + New application.

e. You will see the following page. Click + Create your own application:

f. The input name is pr.co

Then choose the third option from the bulleted list, as shown below.

2. Assign users to your application.

In your application overview, you should see the following five boxes with various configuration options for your SSO set up. As part of the link with pr.co, we will set up the first two, as the remaining options are internal user controls that you can set up at your discretion. For now, click into the first box to Assign users and groups.

a. Click + Add user/group.

b. Add the appropriate users from your existing list and click Assign.

c. Once you've finished, you'll see this screen with a list of your added users. From here, you can head straight to Single sign-on from the menu on the left.

3. Set up SSO.

a. Click the option for SAML.

b. Fill in the Identifier (Entity ID) and the Reply URL (both provided to you by pr.co).

4. Provide us with some details.

We will need the following information. This can all be found in the editable boxes where you inputted the Entity ID.

Sign on URL (In the 'basic SAML configuration' tab)

Logout URL (In the 'basic SAML configuration' tab)

Certificate (Base64) (Downloadable in the 'SAML certificates' tab)

Certificate thumbprint (In the 'SAML certificates' tab)

5. Test the connection in the Entra ID platform.

Once we have inputted the details you sent, we'll ask you to test the connection (we need to input some information for this to work so please wait for our go-ahead). This can be done from the same page where you inputted the Entity ID and Reply URL. At the bottom of the page you will see a button to Test.

6. Add a pr.co email provided by us as an external user.

This is so we can access your newsroom and continue to support your team with any newsroom queries they have. You can do this from the Users section of the main menu (pr.co will provide the relevant emails).

a. Click Users.

b. Click + New user and choose the option Invite external user.

c. Complete the following form and Invite.

d. Done! πŸŽ‰
