This is a practical step by step guide to setting up SSO for access to the pr.co newsroom and will most likely be implemented by your IT team. To do this, you should have the SSO option in your subscription already (if not, email us for more information).

We currently provide SSO with either Microsoft Entra ID, Google or Okta. Read on for how to set up with Okta, or read our instructions for an SSO setup with Microsoft Entra ID or with Google.

Setting up SSO with Okta

Before you start, check that the account you're using to make the following changes is a Super Administrator role.

1. Add your own custom SAML app.

a. In the admin console, go to Menu > Applications > Applications

b. Click the button: Create App Integration

2. Choose SAML 2.0 from the popup window and click 'Next'

3. Set your app name and logo

As app name please fill-in PR.co, and optionally upload our logo (useful to click on our logo to log in from Okta).

4. Configure your SAML settings

Fill in the first part of the form like this:

  • Single sign-on URL: Fill-in the URL that we have provided you

  • Audience URI: Fill-in the value that we've sent to you under Entity ID

  • Name ID format: Choose EmailAddress from the dropdown

  • Application username: Choose Email from the dropdown

5. Fill-in the Attribute Statements

Please add the following attributes here:

  • email: Pick user.email from the dropdown

  • first_name: Pick user.firstName from the dropdown

  • last_name: Pick user.lastName from the dropdown

For the Name format, please choose 'Basic' like in the screenshot below:

6. Click the 'Next' button and on step 3. Feedback just click 'Next' again

7. Navigate to the 'Sign On' tab and open 'More details' under SAML 2.0

8. Send the information on this page back to us

Please gather the following information from the page and send it all back to us:

  • Sign on URL

  • Sign out URL

  • Singing certificate

  • Certificate fingerprint, pick the SHA2 option

9. Wait for us to finalise your SSO setup

We use the information you've provided to set up and complete your SSO provider on our end, once that's completed you should be ready to give it a spin!

10. Try your first login to test your setup

Time to give it a try, go to your end user dashboard and click on the PR.co app to initiate the login sequence. If all goes well, you should end up in a fully logged in PR.co account!

Congratulations! You now should have successfully set up SSO with Okta πŸŽ‰
