All you need to know about deleting media contacts

From time to time, you may need to remove media contacts from your CRM, or even an entire list. Here's how.

Deleting media contacts

  1. Navigate to the CRM tab in your dashboard.

  2. Go into a contact list, or your All Contacts list, and select the contacts to remove. You can bulk select using the tickbox at the top of the list if preferred.

  3. Click More actions.

  4. Select Move to Trash.

โš ๏ธ Only admin roles can remove contacts from the CRM.


Viewing deleted contacts

  1. Go to your CRM and click on Settings.

  2. In the first tab, you'll see all the deleted contacts. The overview will tell you who removed the contact and how long ago.


Restoring deleted contacts

Contacts can be removed either by a user or by the system if your emails to that person are consistently bouncing. In any case, you can always restore removed contacts.

  1. First go to the CRM and click Settings.

  2. Select the contacts you wish to restore.

  3. Click Put back. This will immediately transfer the contact back to the contact lists they originally belonged to.

โš ๏ธ If a contact has been removed from your CRM because they unsubscribed, then unfortunately we cannot re-add them. The only exception would be if this particular contact has explicitly given their consent to be re-added to your mailing list. If this is the case, please get in touch with our support team.


Deleting contact lists

When deleting a contact list that you no longer need, you have the choice to delete just the contact list (keeping the contacts in your All Contacts, and any other lists) or you can remove the list with all its contacts too.

  1. Go to your CRM and find the contact list you wish to remove.

  2. Click on Actions.

  3. Now choose Remove and confirm your selection when prompted.

4. Finally, you can choose whether you want all the contacts from your list to be deleted too. Select the Move contacts to Trash checkbox and your contacts will also be removed.


How to add or remove people from contact lists

Any given contact can appear in multiple lists within your CRM. They can be moved around your contact lists, although you'll need admin status to do so.

How to add new contacts to multiple lists

You can add contacts to multiple lists during the process of importing new contacts from an Excel or CSV file. This will affect all the contacts in your file.

On the next step, you will be asked to select which list(s) you would like these contacts to be in.


How to add or remove existing contacts from lists

  1. Go to your CRM and select the list you would like to edit. You will see an overview of all contacts in that list, where you can perform bulk actions by ticking the box next to your contacts' names.

  2. Click on More actions - then choose whether you want to add them to a contact list or to remove them from the current list you are in.
