Sometimes you want a media kit only to be available to a select group of people and keep its content inaccessible to others. You might have exclusive promotional files for a new product launch, or you simply want to prevent your competitors from accessing media files. Whatever your reason may be, you can password protect your media kits so only the people with the password can view and download its files.
How to password protect a media kit?
In the app, click the Media kits link in the sidebar.
Click the cog-wheel button on the media kit you want to password protect, then click Settings.
In the modal that opens, tick the checkbox Require password to view and download media files.
Set your own password by typing it into the Password input field, or generate a safe and secure password.
Your media kit is now password protected. Only people with the password can view and download its media files.
Note: Want journalists to request access to your media kit? Enter a Contact email address in your newsroom's contact settings page and we'll make sure the requests end up in that email inbox.
There you go; password-protected media kits.
