Call-to-action banner

To capture the journalist's attention, there is a large call-to-action banner on the homepage, contact page, and below every news release, that directs them to the lead capture page:

On this page, journalists can sign up to receive exclusive news by submitting their personal details through the form. We ask them insightful questions that provide you with a full picture of who they are so you can better you assess and qualify new leads.

“You have a new lead” email notification

Once the journalist has submitted their request and has verified their email address, an email notification is sent to all newsroom users with the Publisher role. From here you can directly qualify or disqualify the new lead.

In the, you can find new leads in the New leads page. Here you can assess, qualify and disqualify all your new and open leads.

Qualifying a lead

When you qualify a lead, the lead is:

  • added to the CRM contact list “Qualified leads: {your_newsroom_name}”

  • tagged with “Qualified_lead”

  • tagged with “News_topic:{topic_name}”

Now that you have that lead in your CRM, you can:

  • add them to one (or more) of your contact lists

  • add more information or notes about in their individual contact page

  • add them to your email distribution lists

Automatic email notification sent to the journalist

When you qualify a lead, we automatically notify them by email to let them know they now have access to exclusive news.

Disqualifying a lead

When you disqualify a lead, we don't send them an email notification of the disqualification. We store the leads in the Disqualified leads page for reference. From this page, you can permanently delete them, or if you have second thoughts, add them to the CRM after all.

How to enable the feature?

  1. Log in to

  2. Head over to the Leads page (see sidebar)

  3. Click Enable feature.

Your newsroom is now transformed and ready to generate leads.

If you have a multi-country newsroom, you can enable the feature for every country you want generate leads with. Every country will get its own dedicated CRM contact list.
