Because every time the release gets shared on social media and is displayed by search engines, this will be the cover image for it. The same goes for your own newsroom:

In the campaign editor, once you're finished with step 1, you will see the option to choose a featured image on step 2. Settings. Press "Click to add" to select an image:

This will take you to your media library, giving you the choice to either pick an image that is already part of your media library, or to upload a new image by clicking on the green button.

Then, you just need to click on the image you'd like to have as your featured photo:

The image you've selected will show up in the preview. On the right, you will see how the release will look like once it's published in the newsroom and shared on social media. If you're happy with the result, click on "Save and continue":

Attention: 

  • The featured image must be 700 x 500 pixels (see examples below)

  • The featured image must be horizontal
